What these terms cover
oko.dating is a website with two things on it: a demo you can play, and a form that puts your email on a waitlist. These terms cover both.
The oko app is not open yet. When it opens it will have its own terms, published before anyone can create an account.
oko.dating is run by Egor Bulgakov, a private trader registered in Finland (Business ID 3655049-3) and based in Helsinki. You can reach us at contact@oko.dating.
By using the site or joining the waitlist, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Age
oko is 18+. Do not join the waitlist if you are under 18. If we find out that an email on the list belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
The waitlist
Joining the list does one thing: it means we write to you once, when your city opens.
It is not an account, not a reservation, and not a position in a queue. We open cities one at a time, in an order we decide. We do not promise a date, and we do not promise that oko will open in your city at all.
You can leave the list at any time by emailing contact@oko.dating.
The demo
The profile in the demo is not a real person, and the answers in it are not a real person's answers. It is there to show you how the app works.
What you pick in the demo never reaches another person. We do count how far visitors get, without attaching it to your email. The Privacy Notice says exactly what that means.
Your note
The form has an optional field asking what you dislike about dating apps. What you write there stays yours. You give us permission to read it and to quote it.
If we quote it, we quote the words and nothing else: never your email, never your city, never anything that points back at you. If you would rather we did not quote you at all, write to contact@oko.dating and we will not.
What you may not do
Do not scrape the site. Do not submit other people's email addresses. Do not try to break the form or get around the bot check. Do not use the site to send anything unlawful.
What is ours
The oko name, the design of this site, the text on it and the mascots belong to us. Playing the demo and reading the page does not give you a licence to reuse any of it.
No guarantees
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we do not promise that the app will launch. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the site.
Nothing on this page removes the rights you have as a consumer under Finnish and EU law. Those apply whatever this page says.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If we change something that matters to people already on the waitlist, the launch email will say so.
Law
Finnish law applies, and disputes go to the courts of Finland. If you are a consumer, you can also take a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta).
